What is the GAC?

Each year, at CUNA’s Governmental Affairs Conference, hundreds of some of the brightest and most influential minds in the system descend on Washington DC to network, meet with political leaders, and affect change around credit unions’ hottest issues.

Crash?

Yup. Crash. We’ve built our own event for credit union professionals under 30 around the proper conference. In addition to participating in the full GAC agenda, you’ll get down to mentor sessions lead by industry thought leaders, hike the hill, and network with people from across the country.

This Year’s Challenge

All eyes this year are on the Member Business Lending initiative. In addition to fighting for more capital for small businesses on the hill, we’re asking a new crop of Crashers: How might we design a new credit union product or service that makes it easier to launch and run a small business?

The Family

All GAC Crashers become members of the Cooperative Trust, a network of hundreds of young credit union people.

Thunderpunch

Also, we're throwing a party. It's called the Thunderpunch. It gets rowdy.

Who’s Behind This Thing?

Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed citizens can change the world. Indeed, it is the only thing that ever has.
-Margaret Mead

All Crash events are put together by The Cooperative Trust, a grassroots group of young people fighting for the future of cooperative finance. Each event is designed to spark new ways of thinking, build lasting relationships, and send attendees home hungry to get things done.
